Use
It is used for lowering post-prandial blood glucose levels in people with diabetes mellitus. It delays the absorption of glucose thereby reducing the risk of macrovascular complications.
Common Side Effect
Includes blurred vision, feeling of sickness, feeling of discomfort, increased intestinal gas, numbness, abdominal pain.
Precaution
It should be used with caution in patient with liver diseases and renal function impairment.
